Calling all seniors

Northwest Louisiana District Senior Olympics’ aim for this year is as it has been through our history, to be true to the mission of our parent organization, the LSOG: to promote physical fitness and an improved quality of life for people over 50 through sports, games and physical activity.

Our steering committee works year-round to provide a wide variety of events that encourage an active lifestyle and improved quality of life for seniors. Always on our mind is our invitation estab-lished when we began these district games: COME JOIN OUR FUN!

This year is important as some of our activities are qualifiers for LSOG, our year-ly state competition, which in turn is a qualifier for partici-pation in the National Sen-ior Games—the national Sen-ior Olympics —held every odd year.

We invite all our previous competitors to return to our district games and encourage newcomers to become involved in the Senior Olym-pics movement.

Entry information for our games is found elsewhere in this website.
