Misconception About Membership

Filed under: General News — gerry @ 10:16 am

Several questions have come in from individuals wondering about membership in the Northwest Louisiana District Senior Olympics.  There is no membership required to take part in the district competition which runs though May 19 (see Participant Information on page banner).

When an individual pays the $15.00 basic entry fee, he or she is automatically eligible for any and all events on the calendar. Some events do require additional facility fees (examples are bowling and golf). The only stipulation is that an entrant reaches his or her 50th birthday by Dec. 31 of the year of the competition. Track is an exception where there is a 40-49 age bracket and participants must be 40 or older the year of competition.

Entry is now open in all events subject to openings and availability. Please enter as soon as possible to help organizers with scheduling and staffing.
