Commemorative Shirt Fits Us to a T
The T-shirt to be given to participants in the 2010 Northwest Louisiana District Senior Olympics is being hailed as one of the best ever.
Noted artist Jerry Harris of Jerry Harris Originals designed it for the district, marking the 14th year he has done so. “I think Jerry has outdone himself this time,” said District Coordinator Doyle Blasingame.
The shirt incorporates black and gold as primary colors and uses a fleur de lis in the design along with the torch which has been part of the T-shirts for several years.
Harris said that the colors and fleur de lis are highly popular because the Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints use them, but added of his design, “This is a Louisiana thing. It is different from what we’ve done in the past.”
As has been the custom since the games began, each individual entering the 2010 District competition will receive one of the T-shirts.
