The 22nd NW La. District Senior Olympics golf competition has been changed to Shreveport Country Club.
The date (Friday, April 25) and tee time (8:30 a.m.) remain the same. The site change from Northwood Hills Golf Course was announced by Susan Berry, coordinator of golf events for the district.
The SCC course was built in 1909 and in its time has hosted many prestigious golf events, including the 1964 Southern Amateur won by Dale Morey. Walter Hagen, Ben Hogan and Tommy Bolt have battled par on this layout. It served as Centenary College’s home course, when Hal Sutton won collegiate All-America honors, and hosted numerous state women’s and men’s amateur championships.
SCC par is 36-35–71 stretched over 6,02yards.
